Not for all of the shops, but luckily for The Old Church, we get the sense that as successful as the historic Old Church was, this may have been a blessing in disguise. The outside of The Old Church is simplistic, clean and modern with grey walls, high flower vases and a bench with bright and quirky cushions tactically placed. In contrast to this, when you enter the coffeeshop there’s beautifully painted floors, walls and ceilings that resemble those of a grand cathedral or church.
There’s 40 plus products available on the more ‘interesting’ menu and super deals if you fancy saving yourself a few euros in the long run, with customer reviews to prove the quality of the stock.
The Old Church have done well for themselves to become a success for a second time over after a huge government decision, and we feel like you should help praise this by popping in and saying Hi! to the friendly budtenders.
Proprietor Tonny Van Es said, “This new shop is special because we have to fight for our rights and fight for keeping the coffeeshops open in Amsterdam.”
